When my book about the psychology of video games came out, I kind of wouldn’t shut up about it. I had to spam social media, go to book signings, work it into every conversation. You know how it goes. They had my family and I had no choice.
One of the things I always wanted to emphasize is that this wasn’t a textbook and it wasn’t overly academic. The tone of the book is a lot like this website, in that it contained stupid jokes, humorous asides, and fun. These are, after all, video games we’re talking about! Games are fun, so I tried to make the book fun to read, too.
So I went through each of the 15 chapters (plus the introduction), pulled out my favorite sentences, and made the little images below. I’ve collected them all in one place for your convenience and mild pleasure.
Personally, my favorites are the ones from chapters 7, 8, and 13. Enjoy.
P.S. Buy my book if any of those made you smile. Or roll your eyes. Or grimace. Whatever.
